The Delaware Blue Coats, the Philadelphia 76ers’ G League affiliate, are hiring Brad Jones as their next general manager, according to team sources.
Sixers president Mike Gansey and executive vice president of basketball operations Jameer Nelson selected Jones, sources said. The move follows the departure of former Blue Coats GM Ariana Andonian, who left last month to run the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks.
Jones began his career with the Orlando Magic when Nelson played there. He worked his way up from intern to serving on the video and personnel staff. He most recently spent the past eight years in the G League offices in New York, where he was involved in player contracts and transactions, basketball operations and basketball affairs, and player personnel.
Delaware went 18-18 last season. The Blue Coats will open the 2026-27 G League season on Nov. 6 at home against the Capital City Go-Go.
